We have always been specifically committed to the protection of our fellow animal inhabitants and biological diversity

Almo Nature's main shareholder has had a decisive influence on the company since its establishment, also aimed at pursuing non-financial goals, through the implementation of concrete projects for the protection of animals and biodiversity. When Lorenzo and Pier Giovanni Capellino transferred Almo Nature's capital to the "Fondazione Capellino" foundation, the implementation of non-financial goals was significantly stepped up.

By-laws were adopted, grounded on the ethical principles of the "Fondazione Capellino", which resulted into the company's legal status going from S.p.A, a joint-stock company, to "Benefit S.p.A.".

Since 2018, all revenues after costs and tax are allocated to the projects of "Fondazione Capellino", which is Almo Nature's sole owner

On June 10, 2019, "Fondazione Capellino" received a positive response from the "Agenzia delle Entrate", the Italian tax authorities, to the request submitted in November 2018 regarding the precise and correct tax classification of its business activity. On June 28, 2019, Pier Giovanni and Lorenzo Capellino signed the deed of donation with retrospective effect on the profits accumulated since January 1, 2018, so that the first dividend could be paid out to the Foundation already in July 2019. Almo Nature Benefit S.p.A is 100% owned by "Fondazione Capellino", an independent non-profit philanthropic entity.

The reserves are derived from the investment objectives required to maintain and develop the company over the decade and shared with the Foundation, sole shareholder as of June 28, 2019.

Annual Report

Since its establishment, Almo Nature has received a distinctive push from its reference shareholder, also aimed at achieving non-financial objectives through the undertaking of specific projects for the protection of animals and biodiversity. With the donation of the ownership of the capital of Almo Nature by Lorenzo and Pier Giovanni Capellino to the Foundation, the realization of the non-financial objectives received an important acceleration.

In fact, Almo Nature is part of the economic model called the Reintegration Economy conceived and conducted by the Fondazione Capellino. In the affixing to the brand, that is ALL PROFITS TO THE PLANET, its meaning is made explicit: the ultimate beneficiary is a universal purpose and not an individual interest. The Bowl, the re-proposal of the Ark, of the ongoing advertising campaign, evokes the necessary and no longer postponable pact between humans (dogs and cats, as an extension) and Nature. The domestic animal and the wild animal find nourishment (life) from the same Bowl. In the vision of the Reintegration Economy, the biblical pact of the Ark is rediscovered and renewed after a long time.

The 2024 budget approved by the Board of Directors on 26 June 2023 provides for a 2023 consolidated net turnover of 127 million with a dividend to be paid to the Foundation in July 2025 estimated at 5.6 million.
