Companion For Life

From ownership to responsibility:
THE “COMPANION FOR LIFE” PROJECT evolves new initiatives.

Animal companions to us, are a life first, then a customer.

Our “Companion for Life” project was created to raise the status of animal companions to a higher level, giving them greater dignity and effective and real recognition as part of the family unit.

To this end, we are working on drafting amendments to the EU Commission's proposal on new rules on the welfare of dogs and cats and their traceability published on 7 December 2023 here https://food.ec.europa.eu/animals/animal-welfare/animal-welfare-practice/welfare-dogs-and-cats_en

We believe that it can be improved to promote - in a European context - a new relationship between man and his family animal companions to guarantee effective responsibility and protection towards them starting at birth.

Furthermore, through the Love Food Bank solidarity warehouse, we continue to donate quality meals to dogs and cats in emergencies and to families in situations of economic difficulty.

The initiative we have been carrying out since 2018 under the name Adopt Me came to an end on 30 April 2024, but the Companion For Life program continues to represent an important part of Almo Nature's activism.

The new major project we are about to launch will reflect this but will also go further, calling to action all those who share our values not only towards fellow animals but also respect for biodiversity and therefore the entire planet.
